Demonstration project · Food, courses and community
Cozinha que Nutre
Cozinha que Nutre was created to explore how a food-related project can bring together recipes, courses, workshops, one-to-one support, resources and community without losing clarity. Rather than presenting each offer as a separate area, the website organises the work as a journey in which people can start with simple content and discover ways of going deeper over time.

Context
When the project already has a lot to offer
Food-related work can grow in several directions. Recipes attract people looking for immediate inspiration, while courses offer a more guided journey. There may also be workshops, community, retreats, resources and one-to-one support.
When all these offers carry the same weight, visitors may not know where to begin. The challenge of this project was to create a structure that could hold that variety while keeping the reading simple and an identity close to a real kitchen.
Website architecture
Turning several offers into a journey that makes sense
The structure was designed so that free content works as a first approach to the project and leads naturally to other ways of taking part.
The recipes and resources let people get to know the approach without commitment. The main course is given more prominence as the central offer, with the workshops and one-to-one support appearing as complementary options, as does the community.
The retreats and events extend the project to in-person experiences, without competing with what should be understood first.
The website needed to:
- introduce the person and their approach;
- make room for recipes and content;
- highlight the main course without isolating the other offers;
- organise workshops, community and one-to-one support;
- include retreats and events;
- prepare the link to a members' area;
- make registrations and enquiries easy;
- keep navigation simple on mobile.
Structure
A digital home with different ways in
The way the website is organised lets someone arrive through a recipe, a free resource, a course or a specific activity. From there, the pages help them understand how each offer relates to the work as a whole. The following areas are elements explored in the demonstration project.
01
Home page
Presents the approach and the project's main paths. The central course is given more prominence, but remains part of a section that shows other ways to continue.
02
Introduction and philosophy
Explains the relationship with food and with everyday learning, avoiding language centred on diets or quick results.
03
Recipes and inspiration
Works as an accessible way in for people looking for practical ideas who want to get to know the project's language before choosing a more in-depth offer.
04
Main course
Presents the central learning journey with greater clarity and prominence, without hiding the other options.
05
Workshops and masterclasses
Brings together shorter offers linked to specific topics or needs.
06
Club and community
Creates a way to continue for those who want to keep a regular connection with the content and with other people.
07
One-to-one support
Presents a closer form of support, clearly distinguishing it from the courses and group offers.
08
Retreats and events
Extends the project to in-person experiences and special gatherings.
09
Educational resources
Brings together materials that help people get to know the work and can serve as a way in to the newsletter or to other paths.
Content
Informing without turning food into a promise
The copy avoids the usual language of dieting, controlling the body or rapid transformation. The project was built around food as everyday learning, able to give people who cook greater autonomy.
Practical information remains accessible, but the writing seeks to keep a sense of closeness and reality. The offers are presented clearly, without promising health outcomes or guaranteed change.
Visual direction
A lively, credible kitchen
The visual direction aims to move away from the generic healthy-eating aesthetic, often dominated by too much green and by overly perfect images close to advertising.
The photography favours food, utensils, gestures and spaces that could belong to a real kitchen. The palette keeps warmth and freshness, while the composition lets the images have presence without making the page visually heavy.
The aim is to convey care and pleasure in the relationship with food, without presenting an artificially perfect life.
Visual principles explored:
- close, natural photography;
- ingredients and processes in view;
- brighter colours without excess;
- balance between image and reading;
- distinct emphasis for the main course;
- consistency between the public space and the future members' area.
Continuity
From the public website to the members' space
The website presents the content and the ways of taking part publicly. An external platform can then bring together lessons, recordings, materials and community for those who have signed up.
This separation helps keep the website accessible for people who are still getting to know the project, while the members' area can be organised around each participant's journey.
Responsiveness
A journey that stays clear on a small screen
On mobile, the content was organised to avoid overly long blocks and grids that are hard to scroll through. Buttons keep a comfortable touch area and images adapt to the available width, with the different offers appearing in a sequence that is easy to follow.
Navigation should make it possible to find recipes, courses, events or contact details without relying on the desktop version.

Application
An example for projects with content and a learning community
Cozinha que Nutre shows how a website can organise an extensive offer without turning the home page into a list of products.
The same approach can be adapted for food professionals, cookery schools, trainers, educational projects or people whose work brings together free content and courses with a community.
About this project
Cozinha que Nutre is a demonstration project created by Presença Digital Studio to explore the digital needs of food professionals and of courses with a community. It does not represent a real client or brand and does not present commercial results.

Does your work also bring together content and different ways of taking part?
We can talk about what already exists and work out what should be given more prominence, so we can organise a website that helps people find the path that suits them best.
